DJ68304 is a Mercedes Citaro, seen here in Haakon VII's gate in Stavanger on test with SOT The preferred purchase of this Stavanger operator was Arna bodywork mounted on a variety of chassis types, mainly Volvo and DAF. But when the Arna factory near Bergen closed in 1997, rather than go to the other Norwegian coachbuilder Vest Karosseri, they began to buy buses imported with bodywork fitted. This started with the Mercedes-Benz O 405 N, and later, the Säffle bodied Volvo B10BLE. A number of Scanias with Scania produced bodywork have also been bought. This Picture was taken in October 1999, the green leaves on the tree bearing witness to one of the mildest autumns on record. Usually most of the leaves would have fallen by now! |

SR54224 is a Volvo B6 with Arna bodywork. It is seen here turning from Verksgata to Klubbgata, Stavanger in November 1999. The offices of Stavanger's evening newspaper, Stavanger Aftenblad, are on the right.
